Carefully cutting damaged areas of the brick and applying special mortar mix to match the brick colour. If needed, additional “ageing” is done by toning down the new repairs to blend with the original “weathered” brickwork.
If the bricks are beyond repairs, they are cut out completely and replaced with the same kind reclaimed bricks.
We are taking special pride in doing re-pointing of bricks, because we understand that this is not only cosmetic procedure. The materials used and the way the work is carried out is important for preserving the building structure as whole and at the same time keeping the old authentic look.
We are using only lime based mortars which are proved to be “breathable”, allowing the moisture to escape through the joints.
